Build clean spans and structural routes while leaving room for belts, lifts, and machines.

Quick answer

Build the smallest working version first, confirm that inputs stay supplied and outputs keep moving, then scale. Alchemy Factory rewards visible, modular logistics more than clever but fragile spaghetti routing.

Plan the route first

Structural pieces are easiest to place before a floor is packed with belts and machines. Mark the path for vertical logistics and future expansion.

Use repetition

When a span works, blueprint the repeatable section rather than rebuilding each piece by eye.

Leave service access

A visually tight build can become painful to edit. Keep at least one service route to key splitters, lifts, and support machines.

Check collision symptoms

If a beam will not place, remove nearby temporary objects and verify the intended snap direction before redesigning the whole structure.

Troubleshooting checklist

  1. Confirm the current patch and unlock state.
  2. Inspect the upstream input before rebuilding the output side.
  3. Check for full storage, blocked belts, or an empty support resource.
  4. Test one module in isolation.
  5. Scale only after the isolated module stays stable.
